Ascot Supports & The Royal Windsor Flower Show

On 8th June the 117th Royal Windsor Flower Show took place in the grounds of the York Club in Windsor Great Park.

For the first year, Ascot Racecourse Supports sponsored the “Schools Craft Competition” which was run by Busy Buttons CORE Charity, based in Windsor.  The charity run inclusive workshops for school children and SEN groups across the area.

Our support enabled students from 10 local schools to creatively learn about the need to care for our pollinators and their symbiotic relationships with plants and flowers, using the theme of “Winged Wonders”.  Their colourful creations seen below were all created and made from recycled materials.

Braywood School, Windsor were the overall winners and were presented with the Ascot Racecourse Supports Cup by our own Nick Smith and Alan Titchmarsh, Honorary President of the Show.

We look forward to displaying some of these colourful entries at our Summer Mile Family Raceday in July and welcoming the charity and alongside some of the students.
